| music |  concert|  "Strichziehen"|

This is a singer-song-writer project in English, French, Croatian, but mainly in the German language.

the challenge was to develop a handcart for a percussion set that fits in the flight luggage, and an extra trolley that also serves as a tripod for the piano.

The task of the director was: "it has to look like it exploded from a tree".

high wire workshop| walk into yourself | single & groups | 3h - 3days

Introduction workshop to the art and meditation of tight-rope walking with a balance pole

Wire-walking. A circus art of balance and focus. The knowledge and especially the amazing mind-set about it have been long kept secret by Europe's masters of the art.

Let's make it clear: the challenge is not the heights and the danger. The challenge lies deep within the mind. The truth is  the body learns fast. So it is always our limitations that we meet on the wire.

Challenging the evolutionary fears, that reside in every human being, takes us straight to our selves.

Meet funambule: the art and meditation of tight-rope walking.

Experience the limitless You!

Promise: you will learn to walk the wire and enjoy yourself on at least 1 meter height (up to 2,5 meters available in initiation workshop).

participant impression by Blaz Branc

This story tells the tale of me, first time walking on the wire on 2,5 meter height. The moment I became a tight-rope-walker.

The first step... unbelievable.  Once the sole of the foot steps on the wire, 12 millimeters wide, the mind explains: »This is impossible. You will fall.« And even though the body knows how to walk, because we learned at lower heights and the principle is the same, the mind tells the body, that it is not safe to go. So the first step took indefinitely long.

I could not start walking. I was so afraid I could feel my whole body shaking. The hands were wet. And here the words of my classmate came to me: »To cross, you have to first really decide.« I told myself: »OK, I have decided.« And I went.

What is most amazing is, when you stand with both your feet on the wire and you realize, you have not fallen and that you are actually standing there on the wire. It's funny every time, that this actually works. Once you get going, you still exist.

So it went, step by step. On the way there were problems, fears and doubts. The only way to actually do it, is to make another step. And another one. And another one. And all of a sudden you realize you are upright again, the wire goes on, the life goes on.
Reaching the other side of the 12 meter long wire, I put down the pole, and heavily stressed turned to the instructor and said: »But why so much fear?«

Why so much fear? Because in fact, it wasn't that difficult at all.

funambule - walking on a high-wire

The circus art of balance and focus. To be in the moment, here and now. Up in the air, funambule is a symbol of life and perfection. The image  that will amaze you and make you wish that you - at least by watching - feel the moment of existence in height.

daily happening

This is a continous walk on the wire during the whole day as a part of the picture of your festival. It is an opportunity for a simple introduction to the audience and a good opportunity to take photos. The emphasis is on communication with the audience. At the same time, it is an announcement, a teaser for the evening performance.

performance

An evening show that includes choreography combined with music and light, adapted to the specific environment and needs of the festival or event. Depending on the location and height, the funambulist will perform classical elements of tight-rope walking.

duration: 35 min (with the possibility of repeating)

workshops - walking on the wire

From experience we know: when visitors see wire-walking, they want to try it themselves. In fact, it is much easier to do than it seems. On a low wire, led by funambule teachers, you leave all your fears behind and you will walk into yourself. Your reward will be the awareness of the moment - something that you can take with you also in everyday life. Additionally, you will get some photos that will keep the experience alive after the festival.

site specific

Once you set up a high wire on a festival site, it completely changes the look and ambience of the place. It fills the empty space. Depending on the needs of the festival or event and the existing conditions, the wire can be placed in different ways: in parallel with the floor, elevated, two parallel wires on two levels, two crossed wires, wire above the central places of entertainment, between fairs, above the visitors.

To set up a wire requires at least one full day before the show (a visit of the location is required).

Dramaturgy: Lee Delong

Assistant director: Iva Peter-Dragan

Stage setting: Drasko Ivezić

Costumes: Andrea Kuštović

Production: Triko Cirkus Theater, Zagreb

This show, rewritten by the French American actress an director Lee Delong, reads the text from a different perspective, the perspective og bigamy, but, nevertheless, it does not ignore the problem of corruption, present not only in the text, but in the whole society:  in politics, business, theatre…

Through the life story of the main character – Mac – this street performance with the elements of musical, circus and comedy, shows you the best technique of self help – self irony.

This show represents the first show of the trilogy in the period of 2010 and 2012 in cooperation with Triko Cirkus Theatre and Lee Delong.

Music: Sapo, Tom, Julie, Christian Peter, Boris Kadin, Ghandi, Barack Obama, Hugo Peter, Nelson Mandela

"YOU"

is a new media/new circus project dealing with existence. It sees life or existence as a constant activity towards new creations. ------------------------

is a story that balances in between the personal and the not personal, the real and the virtual, monologue and dialogue, walking and talking at the same time...

-----------------------

is asking what is home. Is it just a place where you can rest, stay, sleep and play? Is it a house with a garden? Is it a hotel room? Is it an old school-bus? Is it a tent? Is it  staying at friends' places? Is it Bruxelles? Berlin? Tokio? Is it where your kids are? ---------------------------

talks about Charon or Kharon (/ˈkɛərɒn/ or /ˈkɛərən/; Greek Χάρων) the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across...

---------------------------

…the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead. A coin to pay Charon for passage, usually an obulus, was sometimes placed in or on the mouth of a dead person. "You" transforms Charon into a funambulist, river Styx into a wire, travel into performance, a coin into ticket.

----------------------------

is about how most people don't care if you're telling them the truth or if you're telling them a lie, as long as they're entertained by it. You use this political strategy as meeting point of real & virtual space and time.

----------------------------

is very personal when it talks about music, Tom, Julie, and the song called Check nix. It is a dialogue between a man on the screen, the man on the wire and the translator. It is air and ground, video-body and body.

----------------------------

combines technology with telling a story, funambule with speaking a story, walking with existence, personal with political
